Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy outlines our procedures for booking modifications, cancellations, and refunds for our vehicle rental services. Please read this information carefully before making a booking.

1. Booking & Payment

We offer multiple convenient ways to book our vehicle rental services:

  • Through our website at www.safarmobility.in
  • Via our mobile apps: SAFAR RAAHI (for riders) and SAFAR CHALAK (for drivers)
  • By calling our customer service at +91 99 7978 1975

To confirm online cab bookings, an advance of ₹100 must be maintained in both the rider's and driver's wallet. The remaining trip amount is to be paid directly to the driver upon trip completion.

2. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Here's what you need to know about cancellations:

  • Cancellations can be made anytime before the scheduled pickup time through the SAFAR Mobile App, Website, or by calling our 24/7 Customer Care Helpline at +91 99 7978 1975.
  • In case of vehicle accident or breakdown, we will provide an alternate vehicle or process a refund of the advance deposit if the booking is cancelled.
  • Standard cancellation charges apply to all refunds.
  • No-show by customer: If you fail to show up at the pickup location without prior notice, the booking advance will be forfeited.
  • No-show by driver: If your assigned driver doesn't arrive, we will immediately arrange a replacement vehicle. If no replacement is available, we will issue a full refund of your advance payment.

3. Booking Modifications

Need to change your booking details? Here's how:

  • We'll respond to your request via email, call, or SMS as soon as possible.
  • All payments made to the driver will be adjusted against the final bill.

4. Refunds

Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent:

  • Refunds are typically processed within 2-3 working days after trip completion.
  • Full refund processing may take 5-7 business days to reflect in your original payment method.
  • We only process refund requests made through official channels. Requests via WhatsApp or SMS will not be considered.

  • Important: The advance payment is non-refundable in all booking formats.

5. General Conditions

Please review these important terms that apply to all our services:

  • SAFAR provides no guarantees regarding the booking of cabs and is not liable for any material or immaterial losses incurred during service usage.
  • We are not responsible for service cancellations or delays caused by natural calamities, strikes, traffic jams, or road blockages.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify vehicle bookings at our discretion. No modifications are permitted for cancelled trips.
  • Vehicle assignment is based on availability; we cannot guarantee specific fuel types (Petrol, Diesel, CNG).
  • A 30-minute waiting period is allowed for pickups. After this period, the booking may be cancelled without refund if the customer is unreachable.

6. INTERCITY Rides Rules

6.1 Driver and Vehicle Details

  • Driver and vehicle information will be shared at least 2 hours before your scheduled journey.
  • All our drivers undergo thorough background checks and verification.
  • Please report any driver-related concerns within 48 hours of your journey.
  • Drivers will wait for a maximum of 30 minutes at the pickup location before the booking is automatically cancelled without refund.
  • Advance payments for INTERCITY rides are non-refundable.

6.2 Pricing and Charges

  • Our fares include toll, parking, and state tax charges.
  • Pricing covers driver allowances and fuel expenses.
  • Complimentary waiting time is 30 minutes; we recommend arriving 10 minutes before the scheduled departure.
  • Distance is calculated from pickup to drop-off points (maximum additional 10 km included).
  • Additional kilometers beyond the included distance are charged directly to the driver at the following rates:
    • Sedan: ₹15/km
    • SUV: ₹21/km
    • Premium Car: ₹25/km
  • Waiting charges apply after the initial 30 minutes at ₹3 per minute, payable directly to the driver.
  • For partial payments, the remaining balance must be paid in advance.
  • Always collect receipts for any additional payments made directly to the driver (tolls, taxes, night charges, extra km).

6.3 Pickup & Drop-off

  • One-way bookings include one pickup and one drop-off location only.
  • Advance notice is required for passengers traveling with pets or animals.
  • For safety reasons, air conditioning may be turned off during steep inclines or hilly terrain.
  • Please verify the odometer is reset to zero before beginning your INTERCITY journey.
